The annual Canberra Floriade was held between September 17, 2005 to October 16, 2005 and is a major draw card for people to visit Australia’s capital city. The flower show seems to get bigger and bigger each year with an estimate of 1.47 million bulbs and annuals (give or take a few).
A musical theme is selected for this year’s Floriade, and the designers have gone all out to match the Rock ‘n’ Roll in Bloom title. Music, celebrating a lifetime of popular music from the 40s to today, is played along the paths of the glorious fields.
The displays at the Floriade are truly amazing and have to be seen to believe how amazing they look. Luckily, photography is the game here at overexposed and we had one of our photographer, Vitaliy Shurapey, there to take a few shots.
